TODAY'S LESSON:  BATTER UP!(STEPPING UP TO THE PLATE)

GALATIANS 6:4

But let every man prove his own work, and then shall he have rejoicing in himself alone, and not in another

IN OTHER WORDS, BE RESPONSIBLE.

JAMES 1:22

But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves.

PART OF BEING RESPONSIBLE IS ACTUALLY DOING THE WORK YOURSELF SOMETIMES.

PART OF BEING RESPONSIBLE IS ALSO LEARNING

WHEN TO LEAD

WHEN TO FOLLOW

AND WHEN TO GET OUT OF THE WAY!

THERE'S AN OLD COUNTRY SONG WHICH SAYS:

You got to know when to hold 'em, know when to fold 'em.
Know when to walk away, and know when to run.
You never count your money, when you're sittin' at the table.
There'll be time enough for countin', when the dealin's done.

ECCLESIATES 3:1 SPEAKS OF THIS.

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

SO WHY IS RESPONSIBILITY SUCH A BIG DEAL?

WELL, FROM WHAT I CAN SEE IT BOILS DOWN TO THIS...

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

ROMANS 12:2

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
EPHESIANS 6:12

  OK, IT'S IMPORTANT TO BE RESPONSIBLE
