TODAY'S LESSON: TEMPTATION
TEMPTATION-ACT OF TEMPTING; STATE OF BEING TEMPTING;ENTICEMENT TO EVIL; AN
ALLUREMENT
EVER BEEN TEMPTED? Ofcourse you have, we all have. It doesn't happen all the time, but when it does happen chances are that we don't even recognize it. Our lives have become so busy to the point that when temptation does come our way(any believe me it will) we just make a choice and move on.
IS IT THE RIGHT CHOICE? Maybe, but the results of your decision might not be immediate. You might have to wait a while for the outcome.
HOW DO YOU KNOW WHETHER OR NOT YOU'RE BEING TEMPTED? No one knows that better than you. Webster's definition states that temptation is enticement to evil, and evil is not good, bad, wrong, unhappy, miserable: I could go on, but you get the point.
TEMPTATION IS DOOM AND GLOOM
HOW CAN YOU STOP TEMPTATION: There's only 1 way.
Matthew 6:13 says this, "And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil..." God is our only hope.
Sometimes the world has such a hold on us that God can't get through so he uses vessels. It might be a preacher, a teacher, or it might be a good friend. Remember God is omnipresent.(HE SEES EVERYTHING EVERYWHERE ALL THE TIME) The bible also tells us that God is omnipotent.(HE IS POWERFUL AND ALL KNOWING) It goes on to say that God is the alpha and the omega(alpha-beginning, omega-end). The list goes on and on:

Verse after verse in the bible tells us of all the wonderful things that God is and wants to be to us if only we will let him:

I'M SURE TO MESS UP, WHAT THEN? Well, it's like this: John 16:33 says, "These things have I spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation(temptation, temptation, temptation): but be of good cheer;I have overcome the world."
Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death;but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.
If not for Jesus, we'd all be doomed to Hell;but by his death on the cross he has made a way for us to live forever.
ONE LAST NOTE: HE DIDN'T LEAVE US HANGING
Revelation 2:7 "He that hath an ear, let him hear what the spirit saith unto the churches;He that overcometh will I give to eat of the tree of life, which is in the midst of the paradise of God."
