TODAY'S LESSON:  THE DOMINO EFFECT

Blessed is the man who walketh not in the cousel of the ungodly,

nor standeth in the way of sinners,

nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Psalm 1:1

I Thessalonians 5:22 says this:

Abstain from all appearance of evil.

And be not conformed to this world:but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good and acceptable, and perfect will of God.

Romans 12:2

Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing,

but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 7:14

But ye are a chosen generation,

a royal priesthood,

an holy nation,

a peculiar people;

that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

I Peter 1:20

In the beginning God created light...

Genesis 1:14a

Ye are the light of the world...

Matthew 5:14a

Jesus makes it very clear that we, as Christians

are to present our bodies a living sacrifice.

Why?

...and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Acts 1:8b

Unfortunately, we often times send those around us the wrong message.

Instead of seeing Christ in us the world sees just the opposite.

Christians tend to give Christianity a 'bad rap'.

Paul, a true soldier for the Lord had this to say about that in

Ephesians 6:12:

For we wrestle not against flesh and blood,

but against principalities,

against powers,

against the rulers of darkness of this world,

against spiritual wickedness in high places.

He goes on to say in

verse 13a:

Wherefore take unto you the whole armor of God...

What is the whole armor of God?

Having your loins girt about with truth

The breastplate of Righteousness

Feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace

The shield of faith

The helmet of salvation

The sword of the spirit

(the word of God.)

Our motto:

I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 3:14

Throughout the bible God warns against being a stumbling block for others.

Time and time again his people were put to the test.

How did they do?

See for yourself.

We continue to make the same mistakes that they did back then.

They say:

Those who fail history are doomed to repeat it!

So,

WE MADE A BIG BOO-BOO

Wait a minute

This just in.

According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowlege of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises:

that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature,

having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.
